SERVICE 03 / EXPERT SECURITY SERVICES

Investigate signs of compromise.

Investigate systems where suspicious behavior, leaked information or other indicators raise concerns about compromise. SafeNas reviews available evidence to help establish what may have been affected and which remediation or investigative steps should follow.

COMPROMISED SYSTEM ASSESSMENT

A clearer investigation.
A stronger basis to act.

Coverage and deliverables are agreed before the engagement, based on your organization and objectives.

INVESTIGATION FOCUSAGREED SCOPE
01What looks suspicious?

Suspicious activity review

Review available logs, system artifacts and other agreed evidence for signs of suspicious behavior. The purpose is to understand the observation in context and identify where further investigation should focus.

02What may be affected?

Exposure assessment

Assess the systems, accounts and information that may be connected to the suspected activity. Establishing the potential exposure helps your team understand the scope of concern and prioritize the next investigative steps.

03What does the evidence indicate?

Compromise assessment

Examine the relationship between observed indicators and the affected environment. The assessment aims to separate supported findings from unanswered questions and make the limits of the available evidence clear.

04What should happen next?

Remediation guidance

Provide practical recommendations based on the findings, such as further investigation, access review, containment or system hardening. The next steps depend on what the evidence supports and the scope of the engagement.

HOW WE WORK

From an agreed scope
to informed next steps.

  1. 01

    Define the concern

Agree the systems under review, the concern that prompted the assessment and the evidence available. Define the investigative questions so the work stays focused and appropriately scoped.

  2. 02

    Review the evidence

Review relevant artifacts and indicators, then connect observations to the affected systems and accounts. Record what the evidence indicates and where uncertainty remains.

  3. 03

    Document next steps

Explain the findings, potential exposure and recommended next actions. Where the evidence indicates a broader incident, discuss the need for further investigation or a separately scoped response.

IS THIS THE RIGHT NEXT STEP?

When the signs need investigation

Unexpected system behavior, a suspicious account event or information appearing in a leak may justify a closer review. A compromise assessment focuses on the evidence available and the questions it can answer, rather than assuming every indicator establishes a confirmed intrusion.
